LOLER Inspections

Q. What Is LOLER and Do I Need an Inspection?
LOLER stands for the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998. If your building contains a passenger lift, you are legally required to have it thoroughly examined by a competent person at intervals not exceeding six months. Failure to comply can result in enforcement action by the Health and Safety Executive.
